    ATHLETIKAN – Melbourne born

    Sneakers have long been a global obsession and key fashion trend. Athleisure is a booming trend worldwide particularly here in Melbourne, Australia.

    Two fashion and fitness conscious Melbourne mates, Robbie Ball and Joe Tamburrino saw a gap.

    A gap to create and cater for the fashion and fitness conscious. A sneaker that could be taken from the street to the gym. Easy to wear anywhere, that would look as good with your gym kit as your best kit.

    Shoes, particularly sneakers, are a symbolic part of everyone’s outfit. They allow you to express yourself.

    Welcome Athletikan. A HYPE and limited release sneaker label catered for the fashion fit.

    The key focus was to create high quality products that would only be released in limited runs. A sneaker that could be worn anywhere but one that not everyone could have and be wearing. An exclusive sneaker that could only be bought on a first in, first served basis.

    We used influencers to get the brand and product out there. Those with massive social followings who believed in the product and story. These ranged from high profile Australian athletes, social influencers and reality TV stars wearing and promoting our product to their thousands upon thousands of followers, telling our story.

    We made headlines and received nationwide press coverage in many of the big editorials including the Herald Sun, The Age, Broadsheet, Fashion Journal and Boss Hunting to name a few.

    With a waiting list of over 3000 people for our first release for only 500 pairs of shoes, they sold out in seconds.

    Since launching in June 2017, we have a combined reach of close to 100,000 fans across our socials and database, we’ve brought out 11 different sneakers and collaborated with some of the biggest talent in the world including UFC world champion TJ Dillashaw and Australia’s biggest DJ Will Sparks.

    This is just the beginning.
